With touch-free FreeTouch® light switches, all you have to do is hold your hand a few centimetres in front of the front panel. Enjoy the highest level of comfort and also benefit from a switch that is always clean, because fingerprints are a thing of the past, as touching is no longer necessary.
The reaction distance is adjustable from approx. 8 to 1 cm, which prevents unintentional switching in narrow areas. Non-contact switches, dimmers and push-buttons fit into EU standard wall boxes. Simply move your hand a few centimeters to the left or right of the innovative sensor. Depending on the side of approach, either one or the other circuit will be switched. Important: It is not possible to connect a FreeTouch® sensor with a product from another brand. For example, you cannot create a two-way switch configuration with a conventional mechanical two-way switch.
If you want to control a light from 2 or 3 different locations without physical contact or adjust its brightness through touchless dimming, you have the choice between a two-way switch configuration (for 2 control points) or a three-way switch configuration (for 3 control points).
1.) Install a FreeTouch® On/Off Light Switch (Product Number FT-S-230), a FreeTouch® Dimmer (Product Number FT-D-230), or a 230V SmartHome Switch (Product Number FT-SH-230) as the "Master."
2.) To this Master, you can then connect 1, 2, or as many FreeTouch® two-way/three-way switches (Product Number FT-X-230) as "Slaves." With this setup, each control point behaves like an independent switch or dimmer.
